The 2015 Event Awards took place on Wednesday 14th October and Mansfields were honoured to have been shortlisted for the Brand Experience B2B Award for our Focus RS reveal.
Mansfields were asked by Ford of Europe to plan the launch of their new Focus RS, due for release early 2016. The brief asked for something very different from the normal corporate press event; we needed to produce a show. A venue was chosen and a production team including vehicle choreographers, filmmakers and television producers was assembled. Broadcaster Chris Barrie presented and driving legend Ken Block revealed the car in a stunning drifting display. It was a phenomenal event and we look forward to the launch in 2016.
While we did not win the award, we are very proud to have been pitched up with some of the top event agencies in the UK. It was a privilege to be alongside some of the breath-taking events shortlisted across 24 categories.
A truly deserved winner of the Grand Prix was J. Walter Thompson for Shell Morro da Mineira, who combined energy technology and the world’s passion for football by creating a playing field which harnesses the energy created by the players above – a magnificent event which also picked up both Best Outdoor Event and Best Global Brand Activation Award.
