Two major style icons – one from the past and one being unveiled as a future icon – were brought together for an international motoring event by Mansfields Design.
In one of the company’s most ambitious and creative events to date, the ultra-minimalist Skywood House at Denham in Buckinghamshire was selected as the backdrop for the debut of the new Jaguar XF to the world’s motoring press.
Mansfields ’ Marketing Manager Mike Hayward said: “Skywood House is an amazing location. Its architecture was just what we needed for the Design and Technical Forum on the new Jaguar XF range. It was an inspired choice.
“In keeping with the modernist look of the glass home Mansfields ’ craftsmen designed and built a pavilion which – like the house – seems to float above the landscaped lake and gardens nearby. This was the ideal setting for this Jaguar.”
The Pavilion, with its clean and modern architectural lines, was used to welcome the motoring press and as a viewing platform for seeing an XF model in motion for the first time.
A purpose-built Design Presentation area held the Interior and Craftsmanship display, a full interior and a display car. Special presentations took the journalists through the design and engineering processes for the XF.
Mike Hayward added: “The event at Skywood House was a Design and Technical Forum that was created to reflect the personality and characteristics of the car in the style of the event.
